Sussex County Tech won against Bergen Tech last Thursday with 42 points, and Sussex County Tech decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Sussex County Tech took the game and then some with a 42-7 win over Immaculate Conception. Sussex County Tech were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The victory (their 3rd in a row) raised Sussex County Tech's record to 5-3. The loss dropped Immaculate Conception's record to 5-3.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Sussex County Tech will square off against North Warren Regional at 7:00 PM next week. Unlike Sussex County Tech, North Warren Regional will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Immaculate Conception, they will face off against Central. Central also experienced difficulties finding the end zone in their matchup this week, so look for the defenses to decide this one.
