AA Region 8 recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AA Region 8 this week, Washington-Wilkes beat Social Circle 48-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Rabun County took down Oglethorpe County 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Charlie Woerner ran for 155 yards and caught 3 passes for 53 yards in the win.
Collin Pettell threw for 365 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 19-29 with 1 interception.
Raleigh Beougher was the best wideout in the league this week as Riverside Military Academy defeated Greene County. Beougher tallied 9 receptions for 197 yards. JeJuan McCalston helped Riverside Military Academy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 55 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Beougher. The Riverside Military Academy star has 49 catches for 1,007 yards.
Union County's Jacob Rogers is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 19 receiving yards against Lovett to hit that benchmark. He has recorded 60 catches for 981 yards this year.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week by notching 57 points on the Patriots. Woerner ran for 155 yards and caught 3 passes for 53 yards during the win.
