Switzerland County is 0-3 against Lawrenceburg since April of 2016 but things could change  on Wednesday. The Pacers will take on the Tigers at 5:30  p.m. Switzerland County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game  this season.
Switzerland County's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against South Ripley as they made off with  a  7-0 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Pacers.
The result came thanks to  Zayne Smith's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up 13 Ks.
 At the plate,  Carson Byrd was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That  triple was  his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Roman Hite, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Switzerland County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Meanwhile, Lawrenceburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.6  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Monday. They came up short against  Batesville, falling  12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Tigers have suffered  since April 12th.
 Lawrenceburg is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-6. As for Switzerland County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Lawrenceburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Switzerland County hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Lawrenceburg, though, as  they've  only  averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Switzerland County's hitters?
 Switzerland County suffered a grim  12-2 defeat to Lawrenceburg  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can the Pacers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
