On Wednesday, the Tolman Tigers faced the Cranston West Falcons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Tolman snuck past Cranston West with a 70-66 victory. Winning may never get old, but Tolman sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Malik Gelinas was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 0 assists. He set a new season high mark in rebounds with eight. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Saulsby, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Tolman pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Cranston West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolman will take on Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cranston West, they will play host again and welcome Rogers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
