Mater Dei had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Taylorville Tornadoes on Tuesday. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Leading Mater Dei to victory were Ava Lampe and Lauren Jamruk. Lampe had ten digs and two assists, while Jamruk had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Jamruk has posted since back in August.

Despite the loss, Taylorville still got an impressive performance from Alayna Vincent, who had 13 digs and six kills. Vincent is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brogan Anderson, who had ten digs and three assists.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 32-6. As for Taylorville, they moved to 32-6 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-match winning streak.

Mater Dei has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Mascoutah on the 6th. Taylorville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
