Even though the Valley Christian Panthers scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves still came out on top. Tekoa-Rosalia walked away with a 68-57 win over Valley Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tekoa-Rosalia also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Tekoa-Rosalia had a senior duo take command as Isaac Bone dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists and Vanden Allen dropped a double-double on 23 points and 19 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Place, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Tekoa-Rosalia's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Tekoa-Rosalia will head out on the road to face off against Soap Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Soap Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tekoa-Rosalia in Washington (Soap Lake is ranked third, while Tekoa-Rosalia is ranked 53rd). As for Valley Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Asotin at 6:30 p.m.
