Softball Recap: Burroughs Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sultana, Burroughs was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Hesperia Scorpions 18-5. The Burros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Soriah Chancey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Jadyn Green was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Burroughs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hesperia only posted an OBP of .250.

Burroughs' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Hesperia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10-1.
