Fort Hancock have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Animas at 6:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.
Fort Hancock had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-61 to Sanderson.
Meanwhile, everything went Animas' way against Sierra Blanca last Friday as the squad secured a 56-14 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Animas.
Animas's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Fort Hancock's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Animas' success rolls on or if Fort Hancock are able to steal their positive momentum.
