They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gilbert Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Issac Hardeman, who scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hardeman has scored all season. Santino Almazan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Gilbert Christian pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Gilbert Christian was led to victory by Jace Olson and Keon Talgo. Olson scored 17 points along with seven rebounds, while Talgo scored 26 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Fermoyle, who scored four points.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Gilbert Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Miguel is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Gilbert Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,902 points over their last 24 matchups.
