The Jones Trojans's 21-10 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 53-45 to Miller on Tuesday. Jones has not had much luck with Miller recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Corey Holmes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miller, scoring 14 points along with six steals. The matchup was Holmes' fifth in a row with at least ten points. George Simmons was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five steals.
Jones has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Miller, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones will be home for the holidays to greet Orange Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller will be home for the holidays to greet San Diego at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
