The Riverside Warriors will be playing at home against the Eastside Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 286 points over their last four matches.
Even though Greer scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Riverside still came out on top. Riverside enjoyed a cozy 82-66 victory over Greer. Given Riverside's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Greer is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Garrido out in front who scored 29 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garrido has scored all season. Kyndal Haroski was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Meanwhile, Eastside came up short against Blue Ridge on Wednesday and fell 64-53. That's two games in a row now that Eastside has lost by exactly 11 points.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Eastside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Riverside strolled past Eastside when the teams last played last Tuesday by a score of 63-46. Does Riverside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
