After a string of three wins, the Tampa Bay Tech Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 48-25 loss at the hands of Plant. Tampa Bay Tech has struggled against Plant recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Tampa Bay Tech still got an impressive performance from Azjannie Culberth, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Culberth is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanna Hartley, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Tampa Bay Tech struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Plant racked up 14 assists.
Plant found their leader in underclassman Jazlyn Bowman, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Sanae Graham was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Tampa Bay Tech now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Plant, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tampa Bay Tech will take on Sickles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sickles presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tampa Bay Tech in Florida (Sickles is ranked 68th, while Tampa Bay Tech is ranked 327th). As for Plant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alonso at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
