The Delone Catholic Squires will take on the Littlestown Thunderbolts at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Delone Catholic will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against York Catholic on Wednesday. The Squires put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 16-8 win. With that victory, the Squires brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Adyson Hummer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Delone Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Littlestown entered their tilt with Bermudian Springs on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Eagles 11-3. The Thunderbolts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.
Like Delone Catholic, Littlestown also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexis Stonesifer. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Stonesifer has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Olvera, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sarah Loveless, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Littlestown pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Delone Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.
Delone Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Littlestown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. Will the Squires repeat their success, or do the Thunderbolts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
