The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Utica Academy of Science in their matchups with Mekeel Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Utica Academy of Science still got an impressive performance from Doneilious King j.r, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 12 rebounds. King j.r has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jazier Brown, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Utica Academy of Science's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mekeel Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Utica Academy of Science's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carthage at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Mekeel Christian Academy, they will square off against Kingdom Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
