Fremont has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Jordan Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fremont walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 59-29 victory over the Tigers at home. Fremont pushed the score to 47-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Lincoln had little chance of recovering from.
Fremont found their leader in underclassman Darryl Gates, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Torres, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Jordan entered their tilt with Canoga Park with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. Everything went Jordan's way against Canoga Park on Friday as Jordan made off with a 62-41 win. Jordan has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Fremont's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-18. As for Jordan, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Fremont ended up a good deal behind Jordan when the teams last played back in January of 2023, losing 52-37. Can Fremont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
