Winona's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Edwards a 7-0 shutout. Considering Winona has won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

With the victory, Winona broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-14. As for Edwards, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winona will square off against Senatobia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Edwards, they will take on North Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
