When it comes to explaining why Walnut lost, one person who can't be blamed is Harland Fluker iii. Despite the final result, he picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown. Fluker iii was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 69 yards.
isaac insuasti was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Brian Vu also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Walnut to a paltry 150 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Diamond Bar's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Morgan Magee and his two sacks.
Walnut has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Diamond Bar, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
