The Jackson Timberwolves will venture away from home to face off against the Kamiak Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Jackson sitting on three straight victories and Kamiak on nine.
Jackson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lake Stevens 15-14. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jackson got a massive performance out of Mia Ediger, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave Ediger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliana Langsea, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kamiak sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Archbishop Murphy on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.
Kamiak's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mila McIntosh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Kamiak's record is now 14-3. As for Jackson, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jackson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kamiak struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jackson might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Kamiak in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
