The Crestwood Red Devils will head out to challenge the Streetsboro Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crestwood will be strutting in after a victory while Streetsboro will be coming in after a loss.
Crestwood barely beat Valley Forge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Patriots on Saturday. The Red Devils not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 20-8).
Bella Stier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

In other pitching news, Gracelin Hampton looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April.
Back at the plate, Jillian Hayes was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Audrey Julian, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Crestwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are 5-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Streetsboro fell victim to Coventry and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Streetsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Crestwood pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Streetsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Streetsboro's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Crestwood has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Streetsboro, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Crestwood's sizable advantage in that area, the Rockets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Crestwood got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 against Streetsboro by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
