The River View Panthers waltzed into Friday's matchup with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kittitas/Thorp 58-10 at home. River View might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 36 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karson Rawlings, who rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Cody Brown, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown.
River View's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-5 Kittitas/Thorp and 0-10 Mabton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.1% over those games). As for Kittitas/Thorp, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
River View has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Asotin at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Asotin is ranked 172nd, while River View is ranked 175th). Kittitas/Thorp does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
