Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thornton Fractional North). They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Thornridge Falcons on Sunday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Meteors as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Jaleil Littleton was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Royal McClinton was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Thornton Fractional North picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-20. As for Thornridge, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Coming up, Thornton Fractional North will take on Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
