Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the NSU University Sharks walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for NSU University, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.
The win (which was NSU University's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matchups. As for Westminster Christian, they dropped their record down to 5-7-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
NSU University didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory vs. Coral Springs Charter on the 9th. Westminster Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
