Lake View has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Senn Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake View will be strutting in after a win while Senn will be coming in after a loss.
Lake View can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They claimed a resounding 61-34 win over Schurz at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lake View has posted since December 4, 2023.
Lake View can attribute much of their success to Javaris Allen, who scored 17 points along with four steals, and Ayden Reed, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Reed has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Frank Fregoso was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Senn pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of North Grand by a score of 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Senn has suffered yet this season.
Lake View's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Senn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Lake View skirted past Senn 64-62 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake View since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
