Macksville is 9-1 against Stafford since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Macksville Mustangs will play host again and welcome the Stafford Trojans, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Macksville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Even though Macksville has not done well against Central Christian recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Macksville secured a 47-41 W over Central Christian. The win was just what Macksville needed coming off of a 58-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Macksville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kambry Adams, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least 25% of Macksville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabela Ortiz, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Stafford was the victim of a tough 64-42 loss at the hands of Otis-Bison on Friday. While losing is never fun, Stafford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Otis-Bison is ranked 86th).
Macksville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Everything came up roses for Macksville against Stafford in their previous matchup back in February as the team secured a 67-20 victory. With Macksville ahead 36-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
