The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders on Monday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City came out on top against North Clay/Clay City by a score of 55-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City to victory were Macee Rodman and Ruby Stuckemeyer. Rodman scored 22 points along with eight rebounds, while Stuckemeyer dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. The matchup was Rodman's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlee Smith, who scored five points.
The win got Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City back to even at 9-9. As for North Clay/Clay City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will head out on the road to face off against Warrensburg-Latham at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Warrensburg-Latham is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. North Clay/Clay City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st.
