Desert Oasis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Palo Verde, who was ranked third at the time (Desert Oasis was ranked 15th). The Diamondbacks lost 3-0 to the Panthers on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Diamondbacks have suffered since April 16th.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista got the win against Cheyenne on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Mountain Lions have posted against the Desert Shields since April 4, 2024.
Sierra Vista walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.
Sierra Vista's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-13. As for Desert Oasis, their loss dropped their record down to 16-19.
