After flying high against Bonham on Friday, Boyd came back down to earth. The Boyd Yellowjackets lost 74-52 to the Burkburnett Bulldogs on Saturday. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Boyd lost, don't look at Lex Horton. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Spencer Harrison, who put up ten points.

Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Burkburnett, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bridgeport the next time they take the court. Boyd will head out to face Bridgeport at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Burkburnett will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
