A feisty cat fight will be fought as Prattville Lions face off against Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Prattville was able to grind out a solid win over Calera, taking the game 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Prattville let Christian Alexander and Holt Stovall run wild. Alexander scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Stovall scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Prattville is undefeated when Alexander posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dorsett Jackson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Trinity Presbyterian beat Alabama Christian Academy 8-3 on Friday. That looming 8-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.
Patton Mitchell and Fleming Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mitchell pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Hall pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Mitchell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Mitchell scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Hall scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Hall has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Cooper Bernier was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Lucas Snyder also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Prattville pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their record now sits at 4-5.
Prattville came out on top in a nail-biter against Trinity Presbyterian when the teams last played last Friday, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prattville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
