The Bradleyville Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the School of the Ozarks Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bradleyville has struggled recently with 16 defeats in a row, while School of the Ozarks will arrive with four straight victories.
Bradleyville suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Cassville at home and fell 97-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, School of the Ozarks put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Galena 64-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win School of the Ozarks has posted since November 28, 2023.
School of the Ozarks can attribute much of their success to Caleb Widner, who scored 20 points along with three steals, and Graham Wilhoit, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilhoit has scored all season. Shadrach Thompson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bradleyville bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for School of the Ozarks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Bradleyville was taken down by School of the Ozarks 75-32 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bradleyville was down 37-15.
