The Lewis Cass Kings lost against the Logansport Berries back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lewis Cass was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Logansport.
Lewis Cass' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Lowe, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds. Trey Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Logansport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Russell led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Taylor, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Lewis Cass' loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Logansport, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis Cass will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitko at 7:45 p.m. on December 15th. As for Logansport, they will head out on the road to face off against Muncie Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
