Trenton is a perfect 10-0 against Bell since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trenton Tigers will challenge the Bell Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Trenton knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bell likes a good challenge.
If Trenton beats Bell with 11 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Trenton beat Taylor County on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Brant Bivens was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Isaac Johnson also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.
Trenton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bell fell victim to Williston and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Red Devils. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.
Trenton pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bell, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trenton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Trenton came out on top in a nail-biter against Bell in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Does Trenton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
