In what's become a running theme this season, the Logan Longhorns gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Hozho Academy at home to the tune of 86-16. That 70 points margin sets a new team best for Logan this season.
Logan found their leader in underclassman Mason Wallin, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Wallin is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Brock Burns was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight assists and two steals.
Logan's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Hozho Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Logan will head out on the road to challenge Fort Sumner/House at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Sumner/House is on a three-game streak of home wins, Logan a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Hozho Academy will take on Tse' Yi' Gai at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Tse' Yi' Gai is ranked 145th, while Hozho Academy is ranked 126th).
