Golden waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They walked away with  a   6-2  win over the Conifer Lobos. The Demons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lobos, too.
Golden got a great performance from  Taden Svendsen as he  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Those  eight  strikeouts gave  Svendsen a new career-high.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Brody McBroom, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Paulson, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Golden pushed their record up to 18-3 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Conifer, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-12.
