Greg Simpson threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as
Sycamore (Cincinnati, Ohio) bested Oak Hills (Cincinnati, Ohio) 43-13 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Sam Cogen in the first quarter, the Aviators led 22-0 at the half.
Sycamore expanded its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Simpson.
Matt Elliott made a difference for the Highlanders. The junior running back ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
The Aviators came into the game allowing 15.8 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 46-41 win for Sycamore.
The defeat comes as a step back for Oak Hills, which notched a 17-0 victory over Hamilton in its previous outing. With the win SHS extended its winning streak to four games.
In a Greater Miami game next week Oak Hills (5-4) takes on Colerain, and Sycamore (8-1) will go up against Mason also in a Greater Miami game.
