The Conrad Chargers pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Samuell at home by a decisive 76-60 margin. Conrad was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Samuell apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Conrad lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brian Singleton. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevanly Cisse Jr, who scored nine points along with 17 rebounds and three steals.
Conrad has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Samuell, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conrad will take on Spruce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spruce is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Samuell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Mesquite at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. West Mesquite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Samuell in Texas (West Mesquite is ranked 173rd, while Samuell is ranked 444th).
