Volleyball Recap: Norcross Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Norcross unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Central Lions by a score of 2-1.

Sofia Guerrero-Wilson paced Norcross' offense, picking up seven kills. Guerrero-Wilson got some help from Ellie Ruth Blue and her 13 assists. Finally, Jada Mickens kept Norcross' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Central found their leader in sophomore Julianna Johnston, who had 11 digs and three assists.

Norcross' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Norcross wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Hebron Christian on the 23rd. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Etowah on the 23rd.
