In what's become a running theme this season, the Severn School Admirals gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Northeast 51-23 at home. The win was just what Severn School needed coming off of a 51-25 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Severn School to victory were LAYLA EPPS and VALERIE WAUGH. EPPS scored 11 points along with two steals, while WAUGH scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. EPPS continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was AMYAH HEYLIGER, who scored 11 points.
Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Burris, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Severn School is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Northeast, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Severn School will head out on the road to face off against the at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maryvale Prep is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Admirals a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Northeast will take on the Gophers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
