The Knights haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Brayden Jamerson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Ty Wilkerson was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryland Carter, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Buckingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Prince Edward County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Buckingham, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
