While Georgetown-Ridge Farm couldn't topple Villa Grove on Tuesday, it's impossible to ignore the impact made by underclassman Chloe Stephenson. Stephenson wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Looking ahead, Stephenson and Georgetown-Ridge Farm will venture away from home to face off against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes haven't beaten the Knights recently, having gone 0-5 since March of 2016.
