Northeastern had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Franklin Academy Patriots with a sharp 64-38 win on Tuesday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Northeastern's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. As for Franklin Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Northeastern will face off against Whiteville on Friday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jada Simpson and Elayzia Dawson. Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
