Cole had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Aransas Pass Panthers on Thursday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cole's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Zinnante, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Andres Gonzales, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Cole's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Aransas Pass, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cole and Aransas Pass will both be playing Dilley the next time they take the field. Cole will head out to face Dilley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Aransas Pass will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
