Marietta won the last time they faced Wheeler and things went their way  on Friday too. The Marietta Blue Devils managed  a  63-58 victory over the Wheeler Wildcats. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Blue Devils.
 Marietta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kyann Senior, who  dropped  a double-double on 19  points and 14  boards. Senior is trending in the right direction considering she's  improved her point production for three straight games.  Leah DeWitt was another key player,  putting up 23 points and eight  rebounds.
 Wheeler's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Jasmine James, who  posted 23  points in addition to seven  boards and three  steals, and  Cailyn Landrew, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 11  rebounds. That was a full 39.7% of Wheeler's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's   earned  more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gabrielle Cherry, who  put up nine  points.
Marietta is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season. As for Wheeler,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-11.
 Marietta has already played their next match,  a  54-49  defeat against Webb on the 18th. As for Wheeler, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  53-43  victory against Stockbridge on the 18th.
