Basketball Recap: Manatee Piles Up the Points Against Southeast

Manatee won the last time they faced Southeast and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Manatee Hurricanes claimed a resounding 62-24 victory over the Southeast Seminoles. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manatee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justine Wilson, who posted 15 points. Wilson's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamia Searls, who earned 14 points.

Manatee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Southeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Manatee has already played their next match (against DeSoto County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
