Parkersburg escaped with a win against Huntington by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63. That's another feather in the cap for Parkersburg, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Parkersburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trinity Balog, who scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Balog's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Lauren Flanagan was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Parkersburg and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Huntington, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkersburg will square off against Parkersburg South at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Parkersburg South has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three matches. As for Huntington, they will head out on the road to face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
