On Monday Quilcene's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Darrington Loggers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 back in March.
Eli Allen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run.
