There's no place like home for Mumford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers 62-18. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.
Several Battling Bathers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leah Williams, who posted six points. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.
Mumford pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points on average over those games. As for Mt. Clemens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
