Zaria Gaskins was her usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with six steals and two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Christ Chapel Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Brantley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.
Chelsea Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cici Wingate, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wingate has scored all season. Evelyn Wingate was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight steals.
Chelsea Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Christ Chapel Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Chelsea Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
