It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gholson can now relate to. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 67-25 on Monday. Gholson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milford to victory, but perhaps none more so than TaNiah Gates-Simmons, who scored 18 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gates-Simmons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Rigsby, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Gholson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Milford, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
Gholson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford, they will face off against Slocum at TBD on Thursday. Milford is coming into the contest with eight straight victories on the road, so Slocum is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
