After a string of nine wins, the Tabiona Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Summit by a score of 64-62. Tabiona has struggled against North Summit recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Loss or not, Tabiona got some senior leadership from Chance Lazenby and Logan Rhoades. Lazenby scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Rhoades. dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lazenby has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rhoades, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Buck Sargent continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Summit, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Sargent hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Trevor Richins, who scored 12 points along with nine assists and six rebounds.
Tabiona's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2. As for North Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Tabiona will head out on the road to take on Wendover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wendover's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for North Summit, they will be playing at home against Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Duchesne is ranked 86th, while North Summit is ranked 64th).
