The Winfield Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They slipped by North Callaway 68-67. The win was a breath of fresh air for Winfield as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
When it comes to explaining why North Callaway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lakyn Hartley. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartley has scored all season. Riley Blevins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and four steals.
The win got Winfield back to even at 6-6. As for North Callaway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will face off against St. Charles West at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Callaway, they will head out on the road to challenge Wellsville-Middletown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
